UPON OUR RETURN, We’ll review your inquiry, evaluate our current client book, and be in touch! WE TYPICALLY RESPOND TO ALL INQUIRES WITHIN 48-72 BUSINESS HOURS. WE ARE BASED IN THE MIDWEST WITH WEEKDAY HOURS FROM 9AM-5PM CST. FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS ARE RESERVED FOR EVENT EXECUTION and sundays are reserved for family.

Here’s what you can expect from our consultation process:
Step 1

We’ll let you know if we’re currently taking on new clients. If so, we’ll send over our dossier, detailing our offerings and highlighting some of our favorite clients.

Step 2

We’ll schedule a complimentary consultation where you’ll meet your dedicated event producer! It’s a best practice if all decision makers can participate in this call. Let the fun begin!

Step 3

Next could be a more customized proposal, an agreement for our services, or something completely different. Just like no two couples are alike, our process isn’t one size fits all.

Step 4

Remember, Kate + Company engages a limited number of clients for each season; Securing our services requires an agreement and deposit. Then we’ll kick-off the process.

Meanwhile, before you start mindlessly scrolling for inspiration, book your venue, choose your photographer, or do anything else, you’ll want to choose the right planner.

Kick-Off to Create

We’ll use our initial conversation as a great jumping off point for personalizing your experience. Do you lead with emotion or with facts? Do you make decisions quick or need time to marinate? Do you prefer a robust list of offerings or a more narrowed grouping?

We don’t ask you to work within our process, we customize our process to work the way you make decisions best.

Understanding the Investment

We’ll put together an initial investment detail that further estimates both the big picture and the finer details of your vision. It’s nearly impossible to understand the scope of your budget on day one; this will be updated and refined several times throughout the planning process.

While each of our events are unique and we work with a variety of budgets, the typical investment seen in our portfolio begins at $1,650 per invited guest.

Curate the Creatives

We’ll zone in on the best vendor partners and creative team that can bring those ideas to life. For us, it’s not just about matching budgets but also aesthetics, personalities, and vetting the capability of bringing the vision to life.

We want to put together a team of creatives all working towards the same goal: bringing the vision to life in a stress-free, flawless way. Not everyone can balance both design and production so it’s important to choose the right team.

We also love working with people who abide by the same motto as us: you get more flies with honey. Egos aren’t welcome at our events!

Planning a Cohesive Package

We’ll plan for every aspect of the wedding weekend – from initial production steps through the farewell brunch. We develop both a 30,000-foot view of the weekend and a detailed minute-by-minute breakdown.
